Living Well For nearly 20 years, I've had the chance to meet readers like you at events all over the world.
I spend most of the year traveling tens of thousands of miles around the world, keeping my "boots on the ground"... attending conferences on everything from the latest in cancer research to new developments in the world of finance.
For more than a year during the pandemic, I was largely grounded... relegated to watching presentations on Zoom.
But since the world reopened, I've been back to my boots-on-the-ground research, attending conferences and meeting incredible minds, searching for the best health and wealth advice for my readers.
A benefit of attending conferences and events is that I regularly get to meet readers. My assistant can tell you that, even when I try my best to go incognito, it doesn't take long for folks to discover me.
Every year, the biggest event that I attend with Stansberry Research readers is the annual Stansberry Research Conference & Alliance Meeting. It's one of my favorite conferences of the year. But with hundreds of attendees, it's often a chaotic and busy few days. There's an incredible lineup of speakers and panels, but not much chance for long conversations with attendees.
That's why, over the years, I've tried to find opportunities for more one-on-one time with readers...
For example, I've visited Rancho Santana in Nicaragua several times, where I've hosted workshops on healthy living and shared meals at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
In 2018, I hosted a dinner for a select group of my Retirement Millionaire lifetime subscribers. We spent a few hours socializing, eating, and talking about the markets. During the evening, I gave a presentation titled "The End of the World."
A few years ago, I spent several days with subscribers at Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Arizona. We gazed at the mountains, took fitness tests, meditated, and attended lectures from some of the brightest minds in the world of holistic, integrative health.
But this September, I'm combining two of my favorite things – wine and meeting my readers. And you have the chance to join me in person...
On September 26, I'll be in Healdsburg, California for a day of chatting, wine tasting, and cocktails.
In 2018, National Geographic named Healdsburg one of the top 30 small cities in the U.S. And it's a town I'm very familiar with, as my winery – Eifrig Cellars – is only about a mile away. So it's the perfect location to host a small group of my readers for a day in wine country...
Joining me is Austin Root, the chief investment officer at Stansberry Asset Management ("SAM").
Longtime readers have seen Austin's name before... As many of you likely know, Austin worked for Stansberry Research for five years. Most recently, he served as our director of research from 2019 to 2021. Austin also managed our Portfolio Solutions products, among other responsibilities.
In 2021, he joined the staff at SAM, a money-management firm – separate from the publishing business, Stansberry Research, that I work for – that uses our research and ideas along with other sources to help manage individual client portfolios.
Austin and I will start the day with a "fireside chat," talking about things that are on our minds regarding the economy and stock market. Then we'll head to a winery owned by good friends of mine, the Robert Young Estate Winery in Alexander Valley. There, winemaker Matt Michael and I will hold a wine tasting (including some bottles of my Eifrig Cellars wine). After that, we'll head to a special reception to spend the evening enjoying cocktails, food, and good company.
